Camborne is a town in the southwest of England, located in the county of Cornwall. It has a population of around 22,500 people and is situated approximately 6 miles east of the sea at the north end of the Saint Ives Bay. Historically, Camborne was a major mining town during the copper and tin mining boom in the area from the 18th to 19th centuries. Today, the town is mostly known for its rich mining heritage, which is celebrated through several museums and attractions. There are also several local retail and service outlets in the town center, as well as a range of outdoor recreational opportunities in the surrounding countryside, including access to the beautiful Cornish coast and beaches.
